Prerequisite

WhatsApp Bot will needed to be added to your WhatsApp group. You can add the Bot like how you add other contacts in WhatsApp.

How to use

WhatsApp Bot connection can be tested by typing any message follows by "@KingGaai", the bot should reply with a message if it is listening.

Currently WhatsApp Bot only supports creating posts, and it needs to be in certain format for that to be created succesfully. Here is one of the example of how you can create a post from WhatsApp.

1. Tap to create an event.

2. Fill in Event name. It is recommanded to use completed sentence for KingGaai to auto detect the language being used, otherwise, specifies the language in the description area.

3. Fill in Description.

    You will need to include the following as well as your event details:
  • "@KingGaai", case insensitive, the Bot only react when you want it to, and when you @KingGaai, it's a trigger for it to start pay attention to what you want.
  • "cat: {category you pick}", you will need to set you category regarding to your event. For example, if you want to gather people to have an exercise together, you will need to include "cat: sport_exercise". The list of acceptable category can be found in here.
  • "lang: {lang you pick}", this is optional as KingGaai will automatically pick a language from your title, but in case it is incorrect, you can override the language by including that. For example, "lang: en". The list of acceptable language can be found in here.

4. Update your start date and time.

5. Pick your end date and time, this is optional and if this is not filled, 2 hours after the start time will be the end time.

6. Fill in location, it is recommanded to use coordinate directly since KingGaai does not have an accurate geolocator at the moment.

What do you expect

If everything is working properly, WhatsApp Bot will response you with the link to the post that you just created.


You can click into the link and see the post from KingGaai.

The information you entered through event creation will be copied into the post in KingGaai, in addition, if you want to also invite people to come to your WhatsApp group, you can set KingGaai Bot as Admin, this will let KingGaai Bot to also put a WhatsApp invitation link at the end of the post.
